Posing & Sculpting Bodies

I won’t go into too much detail for this blog post. The title speaks for itself, but I just want to let you all know I am really focusing even more now on taking control of every single part of your body while I’m posing you. You should hurt (beauty is pain) you should be feeling the stretch & feel your muscles working to create those beautiful curves and S shapes.
And below you have an example of body sculpting with the very beautiful Alex who I recently photographed.

Portrait Shoot at the Beach

A recent client of mine, Nichole is one of those people that walk into the room and has so much energy and excitement about them that you immediately feel like their friend.

Her sister had purchased a gift certificate for Nichole as a birthday present. So it was a lovely and exciting surprise for her.
While Nichole was getting her hair and make-up done in the studio, I put together Nichole’s outfits. Through her clothes I could already tell her personality and it dawned on me. I ask every client to bring a selection of their favourite clothing which can be teamed up with some of the accessories I have in the studio. I then style their outfits for the shoot while they are getting pampered. I realised that all my clients’ outfits suit their personalities. For example Nichole had brought some bikinis, sarongs, bold jewellery, denim and a funky tasselled top which straight away told me how I was going to photograph her.

I’m sure by looking at the images you will understand what I mean. You can see this woman is confident, relaxed and is herself, the outfits compliment her beautifully (and Daniella, again did an amazing job on her hair and make-up).

So think about what you are bringing to your shoot.  Remember these are photographs that are about you and will be with you forever. If you choose outfits that you know suit you, you will never look back and go “ewww what was I wearing” because you will look amazing and comfortable in them.

Love yourself today

Every woman that comes to be photographed by me, comes in feeling the same. Nervous and excited.  I hear a lot of ‘I almost didn’t want to do the shoot until I looked better or lost weight.’ The fact is, if you are saying that about yourself now, then you will never do it. If you want to feel and look beautiful, then let me show you your beauty and how to bring out that sparkle that everyone has. The biggest gift that I can give, is showing you yourself in a light that you have not seen before. You will appreciate and love yourself straight away.

Katie follows my work, I know this because this gorgeous girl would refer to blog posts and images that I’ve done in the past, that even I had forgotten about. With my blog I occasionally touch certain people in a way that they book me for a shoot. In this particular instance one of the things Katie really liked was that I do my before and afters. Why? Because she can relate. Everybody can relate to the before shot. Prior to her shoot she said to me ‘I haven’t been feeling very pretty, but if anyone can make me look good it will be you. I trust you.’ Even more so a reason to book a photo shoot now. If you are feeling down about yourself then there is no more of a perfect time to do something for you that celebrates you.

The amazing thing is, by the time she had gone through the pampering process with her hair and make-up, and then the photo shoot, she was already feeling amazing about herself before she had even seen the photos. What is that? Confidence. Yes, she now had a gorgeous full body of hair and make-up that brought out her amazing  blue eyes even further, but her looks are still the same, she is still the same person. What changed?  From being so nervous at first, she completely let go, and in trusting me to guide and photograph her, she relaxed, really started to enjoy herself and truly believed that she was beautiful. And she is. The more the confidence came through the more she sparkled. A new friend and a happy client bounced out of my studio.
